The Daylily 'Dion and Rodier' (Hemerocallis x 'Dion and Rodier') 
was given to Mireille Dion and Jean-Pierre Rodier to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on July 11, 2005. Horticulture is of particular importance for the founders of the company Paysages Rodier, which explains the choice for this anniversary gift.
This cultivar has been hybridized by someone who has a passion for daylilies, Mr. Byro, who performs his job in Mont-Saint-Hilaire. The gold trim found on the flower was the main reason in the selection of the plant that would carry the name Dion and Rodier.
